Shooting Southern Lights

     The music was not recorded yet that we started shooting the music video. In these next pictures you will see what colors and ambiance we wanted to achieve.

The music goes from folk/country western, to emotional piano and finishes in a great rock n roll party. Yet, the folk country/western element stays present throughout the song especially with the banjo a,d the resophonic guitar. So we decided to keep an orangy bronze color during the whole video and so turned down saturation to an almost sepia tone, raised contrast and crushed the colors to get that particular atmosphere.
Since the song is about sunlight we had to boost the brightness of certain clips to have the sun really explode.

     Alors que la musique n'était pas encore enregistrée, nous avons commencé à tourner le clip. Dans les images suivantes vous verrez quelles couleurs et ambiance nous voulions obtenir.

La musique passe du folk country/western, au piano émotionnel pour terminer en fiesta rock n roll.

Cependant, l'élément folk country/western reste présent tout au long de la chanson surtout avec le banjo et la guitare resophonique. Donc, nous avons décidé de garder une couleur bronze orangée sur toute la vidéo en baissant la saturation jusqu'à un ton sepia, en augmentant le contraste et en "crushant" les couleurs pour avoir cette atmosphère particulière.
Vu que la vidéo parle de rayons de soleil, nous avons eu besoin de booster la lumonisité de certains clips pour vraiment exploser le soleil.
